  • Angekört at 2 years of age.

Ero vom Franckenhorst was the winner of the DVIN Working Championship in 1979 and passed the Erstkörung at 2 years of age with highest rating for hardness and working drives. He also placed fourth at the D.V. Meisterschaft in 1979 with 289 points. His brother, Alva vom Franckenhorst, also passed the Erstkörung at 2 years of age with highest rating for hardness and working drives.

“A beautiful dog both in conformation and working ability. He was a powerful black male with a nice head and strong neck. Bred in Holland he became Dutch, German, Luxembourg and International Champion.
In 1975 he gained his Bundessieger-title, although actually beaten on the day by Don Dayan vom Franckenhorst because Don Dayan did not have his Schutzhund, Ero received the Bundessieger title.
Ero was a superb working dog, he passed Schutzhund III with ease and also gained the title of Dutch Working Champion. In 1979 he came fourth in the Working Trials (D.V. Leistungssiegerprüfung) with 289 points and finished only 5 points behind the winner. He also passed the Körung.
As a sire he was less important than Don Dayan. He died when he was 7½ years old.”
