Olive of Bamby's Pride was obtained by the vom Franckenhorst kennel in Holland in a deal that saw Ero von Eichenhain sold to Japan in return for two females. The first result of this deal was Olive of Bamby's Pride, daughter of Odin von Forell and Rita von Forell. She can be considered as the foundation female to this kennel as all the renowned vom Franckenhorst dogs originated from her. “The bitch was bred in Japan and exported to Holland. She was particularly important for the vom Franckenhorst kennel and later to the whole breed. She has given the breed such important progeny as Don Dayan, Dewi, Iris, Indra and Nimrod Hilo vom Franckenhorst. She was rarely shown, so she did not win any important titles. She was a big elegant bitch with nice clear marks, a good topline and an excellent hind angulation. In front she was a little bit too straight. Her character was excellent.” [by J.M. v.d. Zwan: In the beginning.....A history of the Dobermann] Olive produced the vom Franckenhorst “B, D, I, M, N, R” litters. Below are her most influential offspring:
