Alida vom Flandrischen Löwen

“Alida was born in Germany. This black bitch was the result of an unusual deal between her owner Mr Rochtus and another breeder Mr Kollenberg. A great fan of Alexa, Mr Kollenberg stipulated he would purchase the litter if Alexa was bred to a male of his choice. A combination was done with great success, resulting in 4 Champions, 2 Siegers and 2 Angekört dogs in the litter.
Of these, Alida was probably the best known and admired. Not only as a lovely show animal in her youth, but more importantly appreciated later on by the quality of her offspring and their descendants. Out of a fertile family, the females alone from her first litter had produced 105 Alida grandchildren before she had turned 5 years old.
Alida had a normal character apart from outstanding fighting and prey drives. She made her Schutzhund III very quick, and it was not long after being declared Bundessiegerin that she was sold to the past president of the DPCA, Ray Carlisle of New York. A cause of some consternation in various circles.
In the USA she produced a second interesting litter in combination with an American Champion male.
As well as being Bundessiegerin, she won the D.V. Sieger title and became German, International and VDH Champion. Alida is linebred to Vello von Fürstenfeld and its academic interest to note that she carries over 450 crosses to the past Siegerin Jesse von der Sonnenhöhe, who was also exported to the USA.
In her first litter Alida produced 5 Champions, 1 Siegerin and 1 Angekört dog and in her second litter she produced to date 7 Champions, and still others close to finishing. A remarkable feat which firmly established her credentials as a worthy brood bitch. So far there has been 6 working Champions in her first litter and one in her second litter.
Both Alida's sire and dam were also Bundessiegers, and also both her grandfathers. At this time children and grandchildren have also won Bundessieger honours. Some people say Alida is a throwback in type and character to her great-grandmother Günthersforst Burga.”

  • Kalina: SchH 3 and passed the ZTP with 1A rating for character and V for conformation plus winner of numerous show titles. She is dam of the vom Norden Stamm “B, E, N, T” litters (Ninjo, Natascha, Nicole, Tiffany) and van het Gröne Land “A” litter (Alina)..
  • Kastra: SchH 3, DV-DM participant, Landesgruppe Nord Leistungssiegerin in 1990 and passed the Körung 'for life' with Körklasse 2A rating plus winner of numerous show titles. She is dam of the vom Norden Stamm “P, R” litters (Prinz, Rembrandt) and vom Falltor “C” litter (Clemens, Chessy).
  • Kassandra: SchH 1 and dam of the vom Norden Stamm “O” litter (Ondra).
