“This black male was bred in Vienna, Austria. He had a very good head and very dark eyes. He was well boned and had a very developed chest. He had a typical Dobermann character, which enabled him to pass Schutzhund III with ease.
Although this dog was described as having a lot of nobility, Mr Kröner the German Dobermann judge and breeder said at the CACIB in Munster that the dog had a too strong neck with too much dewlap. In another critique judge, Mr Steffam said his back could have been shorter.
Arco became an International Champion and won the IDC title in 1963. He was a good transmitter. His best litter probably was the ‘R' litter of the Forell kennel with Rita von Forell, Ralf von Forell and Rondo von Forell.”
