Athene von Nymphenburg

“Athene von Nymphenburg was a very elegant black bitch, bred in Germany and owned by Mr D. Müller (Kennel vom Eschenhof). Athene produced excellent progeny, like Orpheus, Quarta, Queen, Quende, Questo and Queto vom Eschenhof. In 1977 she became Bundessiegerin and the German judge Mr Theis wrote: “a very big bitch with a nice topline. Very deep chest. A good wide chest. Good head and neck. Tan good. Eyes brown. Stands correctly on her feet. Correct movement. Complete dentition”. She did very well at shows and became an International and a German Champion. She also won the DV-Sieger title in 1977. She had a very even character and passed her Schutzhund II with figures 85-94-91.”

Athene's sire, Eick vom Eschenhof, passed the Körung 'for life' with highest rating for hardness and working drives. Her litter-brother, Athos von Nymphenburg, passed the Körung with Körklasse 1A rating. Athene lived to 4 years of age and below are her most influential litters and offspring:

• vom Eschenhof “Q” litter with Candy van't Smeulveen:
  • Questo: SchH 1 and passed the ZTP with 1A rating for character and V for conformation. He is sire of the vom Eschenhof “S, U” litters (Ukas) and von Nymphenburg “H” litter (Helena, Heraklea).
  • Quarta: SchH 3, FH plus winner of numerous show titles and dam of the von Pagodenburg “A, B” litters (Berus, Boran).
  • Queen: SchH 1 and dam of the vom Eschenhof “A, B, T, Z” litters (Tass).
