“This black male of correct size was imported from Germany to Holland by the van Neêrlands Stam Kennel. He was a dog with a magnificent head and an excellent reach of neck. He had a very noble expression. He had good angulation a nice topline. After a very disappointing “Very Good', which is not so good at his first show, he became an important showdog.
In 1967 he gained both his titles. The Winner Show in Amsterdam, and the Bundessieger title. He became a Dutch and International Champion. The dog's strength as a sire was well known and he produced important progeny (like Gravin Faby van Neêrlands Stam). The Dobermann judge Mr Schulz described him as follows: “a two and a half year old male, with a nice 'blunt wedge' head, long neck, strong back, wide and deep chest, correct and powerful fore and hindquarters, average tan and eyes, good movement and correct dentition”.
He spent only a few years in Holland. He was then purchased by a Japanese fancier for U.S. $15,000 at the time which was a great deal of money for a stud dog. Shortly after his arrival in Japan he was run over by a car. Tragically he died in Japan without ever being used at stud. The Japanese newspaper said he was homesick and longing for 'die Heimat' (home). Rado obtained his Schutzhund 1 title, scoring 85-79-92.”
