“This black bitch was born in France and exported to the Italian kennel of Mr. Rossi 'del Verdiano'. The progeny of this bitch was instrumental in building up the breed in Italy. In combination with Droll dei Piani di Praglia she produced the well known bitch Rada del Verdiano, the grandmother of Elisir di Campovalano. Walkiry brought the Italian Dobermanns almost pure von Forell blood with a little von Eichenhain. Walkiry had a correct, long head with dark eyes and a nice long neck and good markings. She was a little long in back and could have had better angulation. She did well in the show ring and became an Italian champion.”
